What We Do
Here at Connections Child and Family Center we understand the debilitating effect that eating disorders have on individuals and families. We know that finding treatment options can become overwhelming. We offer a comprehensive eating disorder evaluation for individuals 13 & older who may be struggling or have questions about their eating, exercise beliefs, and body image concerns.
During the eating disorder evaluation we screen for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Along with the eating disorder assessment we offer screenings for co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, social anxiety, PTSD, and Substance Use Disorder.

Why This Works
Eating disorders are complex medical and psychiatric illnesses that each require unique treatment. We understand the complex nature of eating disorders. We offer assessment services tailored to each person’s individual needs.
Through the eating disorder evaluation process we let the 2011 APA Guidelines for Levels of Care guide us. We include medical vitals, eating behaviors and beliefs, compensatory behaviors, current nutrition and food intake, level of support needed for meal and snacks, level of motivation, body image concerns, co-occurring disorders, self harm, suicidal thoughts, and environmental factors. We utilize, at a minimum, the following assessment tools coupled with our clinical expertise to inform how to best care for you or your loved one.
