Working with Adolescents & Adults

I’m a dedicated Registered Dietitian with a special focus on helping teenagers and young adults recover from eating disorders. I especially love working with people between 13 and 17 years old and anyone interested in learning more about food and nutrition.

Clients seeking to work with me often have a troubled relationship with food and their own bodies. They often feel overwhelmed by the pain of battling an eating disorder, struggling with the daily stress and anxiety it brings into their lives. You might feel trapped in a cycle of guilt and shame, trying to conform to societal norms and expectations around food and your body image. The journey to recovery can feel lonely, and I’m here to support you through that.

I believe that food is more than just fuel for our bodies. It’s also about culture, socializing,  memories, and more. I’m here to help you see that understanding food from different angles can make eating less stressful and more enjoyable.

Working with Nutrition

My path into nutrition is a unique one. I once dreamed of being a pastry chef but ended up being fascinated by biology and how food interacts with our bodies. Battling Crohn’s disease made me even more interested in the relationship between food and our bodies. This personal experience helped me understand and connect with others facing similar struggles.

I’m a big supporter of Intuitive Eating, which is more than just eating when you’re hungry and stopping when you’re full. It’s also about being mindful and questioning the ideas that diet culture throws at us. My goal is to help you reconnect with your body’s natural instincts about food, exercise, and feelings.

I also believe in the Health at Every Size® approach, which means that everyone’s body is different, and health can be achieved in many ways. It’s all about finding the balance that works best for you.

Right now, I’m working towards becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist to learn even more and help people even better. I enjoy working with clients who are curious and ready to explore different viewpoints on their way to feeling better.

People I’ve worked with have told me that they start to see food in a new light, thinking about its different values and learning to enjoy all aspects of eating, whether it’s a nutritious meal or a piece of birthday cake. I’m excited to help you explore the world of food, appreciate your body, and find a happy and balanced relationship with eating. I’m here to share what I know, my personal journey, and support you every step of the way!

Outside the Office

Outside of my work, I’m an avid traveler, hiker, and game night enthusiast—competitive board games like Ticket to Ride and Monopoly Deal are my go-to! I value spending quality time with family and friends, cherishing the moments of laughter and connection.
