Working with Children & Families
During my training, I discovered a special connection with kids and teens who are facing all sorts of challenges, like feeling really down or anxious, struggling with food relationships, and dealing with tough behaviors. Helping them and their parents understand each other better and cope with daily life is super rewarding.
I have a soft spot for play therapy and using art to help kids express themselves. It’s amazing how drawing and coloring can help them open up! I also use techniques that help them challenge their thinking patterns and see things in a new light.
I’ve been lucky to see lots of positive changes – kids learning to manage their stress better, parents communicating more effectively, and young people building a healthier relationship with themselves and food.
I’m also passionate about helping people of all ages feel accepted and comfortable with their gender identity, supporting them as they discover who they truly are.
I’m here to support you and your family, helping you build stronger connections and a happier future. Let’s navigate this journey together with understanding, knowledge, and a whole lot of care!
How I Got Here
You know, my journey to becoming a counselor was kind of like taking a scenic route. I first thought about becoming a physical therapist, but life had other plans. After facing some personal losses and seeing how much counseling helped me, I knew this was my calling. I dove into psychology and got to learn a ton from experienced psychologists.
Outside the Office
When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll find me buried in a book. I love reading about different topics in counseling, and I’m really interested in learning more about eating disorders. I enjoy trying new coffee shops around the area while reading the most recent book I checked out at the library. Additionally, I enjoy using my vacation time to travel to new places!
