Working With Adults

I believe in a biopsychosocial approach, equivalent to a mind/body/spirit belief in healing. As an integrated practitioner, it takes a village. We cannot look at the mental and emotional without looking at the physical. But the opposite is also true. As humans, we are on this plane to do purposeful work, whether our mission is to heal, serve, or create. If any one of these elements– our physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual centers is not in alignment, we lose our balance.

As a nutritional therapist, I will look at food, your connection to your body, mindful eating, and the beliefs we have that lead to emotionally charged stress eating. My background in functional medicine and in my Food and Spirit practice, I can incorporate aspects of creativity, life balance, gratitude, intuition, your communication with others, connection, mindfulness, and life purpose. My theoretical orientations are psychodynamic, experiential, humanistic, and holistic integration. Theoretical approaches include Attachment based, Somatic, Feminist, and Positive Psychology.

I believe that many of our current ways of interacting with the world are connected to our past, our core stories. I also believe that shifts can happen through our interactions with others in the here and now. If you have been exposed to excessive trauma, these events have shaped your experience of how you see the world and perhaps how the world sees you. The good news is that you are not your stories. When we seek to become aware and conscious, we can reframe those beliefs so that you can lead a happier, healthier, loving, and more productive life.

How I Got Here

I have an eclectic background, all of which have served in preparation as a trauma therapist.  I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Western States in Portland, OR.  My approach to health is whole-body-examining all aspects of the human psyche from nutrition and lifestyle to relationships and energy.

I had my own practice as a functional nutritional therapist and Food and Spirit Practitioner. After participating in a leaky gut study and seeing my own health completely transform, it led me to working as an enzyme practice advisor for Transformation Enzymes.  My Bachelor of Fine Arts is from the California Institute of the Arts.  I have been a professional theater actor for over 30 years.  Some of my hobbies include cycling, weightlifting, seeing theater and films, writing, and traveling- all of which bring me joy!

Outside the Office

I love going to the theater and seeing films, I work out daily and love to weight lift, and traveling is in my blood. My goal is to act in a play a year and get back to singing!
