Real tools for managing big emotions, calmer homes, and stronger relationships.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills classes for teens, tweens, parents, and adults, plus our comprehensive Teen Thrive Program for adolescents who need a full level of care. Led by clinicians with foundational DBT training.
The slammed door at 8pm. The text from school again. The drive home when nobody talks.
The morning when getting your teen out the door takes forty-five minutes of negotiation that should have taken five. The reactions that don’t match the trigger. The patterns that haven’t shifted no matter how many times you’ve talked through them.
You’re not the only family in this house. Your teen isn’t the only one struggling. And you’re not the first family to walk into our office wondering what level of help is actually right for them.
DBT offers clear, practical tools for managing intense emotions, reducing conflict, and improving communication. Skills you can use at 11pm on a Tuesday when everything is hard.
Our DBT classes & programs.
We offer DBT along a continuum of care, from skills-based classes that teach practical tools, to comprehensive Teen Thrive for teens who need a full DBT level of care. All groups are led by licensed clinicians with foundational DBT training.
Teen DBT Skills Class
For high-school teens who feel everything intensely and don’t know what to do with it.
A structured, skills-based group that helps teens manage intense emotions, reduce impulsive behaviors, and improve relationships. Teens learn practical DBT tools they can use in real life, at school, with friends, at home. Not therapy, not a process group. Skills you can use this week.
Tween & Parent DBT Skills Class
For middle-school families ready to learn skills together, because skills you both know work better than skills only one of you has.
Designed for tweens and caregivers to attend together. Families learn the same skills, in the same language, at the same time, which makes it dramatically easier to use them at home. Reduces the “you’re not doing the breathing thing right” problem because parents and tweens are both learning.
Parent & Caregiver DBT Skills Group
For parents who shouldn’t have to wait for their child to start therapy to get help.
Parents shouldn’t have to wait for their child to start therapy to get help. This online, skills-based group teaches parents how to respond more effectively to their child’s emotions, without burning out. The skills work whether your child is in treatment or not.
Adult DBT Skills Class
For adults who want practical tools, not another year of unstructured talk therapy.
Skills, not history. This online group teaches concrete strategies for managing stress, emotional intensity, and relationship friction. The focus is on practicing DBT skills, not processing your past, though many participants find that learning these skills helps them understand themselves more deeply too.
Teen Thrive Program (Comprehensive Adherent DBT)
For teens whose struggles significantly affect safety, school, or relationships, and need a full DBT level of care.
Teen Thrive follows the adherent DBT model, the full Linehan-developed framework, which includes individual DBT therapy, skills group, phone coaching, family involvement, and a coordinated treatment team. This is for teens whose struggles need more than a weekly skills class, and whose families are ready to do the work together.
We are the only comprehensive adherent DBT adolescent program in North Houston and Greater Houston. Linehan-trained therapists. Multidisciplinary team. Active family involvement. Treatment that’s been shown to work for teens whose emotional challenges other approaches haven’t reached.
