Requirements We Look for:
  • You might be a good fit for Connections if you: hold an active, unrestricted license or are license eligible in Texas

  • For therapy: Can build up to a minimum of 15 client hours per week  AND are available to see therapy clients at least two evenings per week and/or weekends

Licensed Psychologist

We are looking for licensed psychologists to provide psychological testing or  therapy. You would work closely and collaboratively with our team to provide quality, evidence-based care to our clients.

We are seeking full-time or part-time (minimum 18 hours/wk) to join our group practice. We work with kids, teens, adults, and families in all their configurations

You will have flexibility in terms of scheduling, and the option of providing both remote and in-person appointments. You also have the option to build unique offerings like groups.

All positions require:

  • An active license in the state of Texas.
  • Availability to work some evenings or weekends.
  • Minimum 15 direct client hours (20 total hours for role) for part-time clinicians.
  • An average 25-28 direct client hours (30 available) for full time clinicians.

Licensed Psychological Associate

Play Therapist

We’re looking for a therapist passionate about working with kids and families. This is a full-time position with benefits. We offer PTO, medical, dental, vision, life and short-term disability insurance, and retirement savings. We also train clinicians in evidence-based treatments like PCIT, EMDR, or DBT.

We take care of all the administrative work so you can focus on doing your best work, and then go home! Our admin team takes inquiry calls, schedules appointments, checks benefits, and credentials new team members, as needed.

As a therapist at Connections Child and Family Center, you will have the opportunity to use play-based interventions to help children heal and grow. You will have flexibility in terms of scheduling, and the option of providing both remote and in-person appointments. You also have the option to build unique offerings like groups. Who you are:
The ideal candidate is a registered play therapist (RPT) or has at least 1-2 years of play therapy experience with children under 10. We highly prefer independently licensed clinicians. We are seeking candidates who are energetic, playful, creative, and personable. Additional trainings in specific techniques such as PCIT, PMT, art therapy, or EMDR is a plus. Previous private practice experience is a plus.

Teen/DBT Therapist

Eating Disorder Therapist

Seeking a licensed clinician to fill a full-time clinician position assessing and treating clients with eating disorders, support the family process of healing, and collaborate with other providers in the EDO recovery process.

CEDS certification or in-progress (close to finishing) is highly preferred. A trauma-trained professional is preferential and trauma-informed is a must with ability to conceptualize how the EDO and trauma intersect.

DBT Skills and understanding of the five DBT modules is a plus along with an awareness of how to compassionately hold strong personal and professional boundaries.

Skills:

· Skilled in assessing clients for medical necessity criteria for active AN or BN and making treatment recommendations based on the assessment.

· Treat adolescent & adult clients with EDOs using evidence-based modalities to assist clients/families develop skills more effective than their EDO in reducing distress and managing emotions.

· Demonstrate knowledge of how comorbid diagnoses impact the development and reinforcement of EDO beliefs & behaviors.

· Understand the process of identifying EDO thoughts, behaviors and processes to help clients challenge them and use more effective skills.

· Demonstrate proficiency in assessing medical necessity for HLOC based on presenting symptoms according to APA HLOC guidelines.

· Provide maintenance therapeutic services and collaborate with outpatient RDs in the community once clients are stepping down from HLOC.

FOR TESTING: It is preferred if you have extensive clinical and psychoeducational assessment experience with a variety of measures, are trained in using the ADOS to diagnose autism spectrum disorders, and are comfortable completing complicated learning and emotional/behavioral evaluations.
